Pre-announcement of the 3rd Call of the European Partnership AGROECOLOGY

The European Partnership on Accelerating Farming Systems Transition – Agroecology Living Labs and Research Infrastructures (AGROECOLOGY) is preparing to open, in December 2025, a call for international consortia research projects on the topic:

“Fostering plant and animal genetic diversity and empowering farmers to accelerate the agroecological transition.”

The call focuses on two pillars of the agroecological transformation:

  • the genetic dimension
  • the social dimension

Projects making a significant contribution to one of the following topics will be supported:

  1. Enhancing the genetic diversity and variability of crops and livestock for the agroecological transition.
  2. Strengthening farmers’ involvement and empowerment in the agroecological transition.

Institutes of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS) will be eligible to participate in the call.
The Presidium of the SAS has allocated an indicative budget of €120,000 to support one research project for a period of three years.
