TRANSCAN-4 pre‑announces the First Joint Transnational Call (JTC 2026) on the topic of:
“Translational Research on Cancer Metabolism: Multidisciplinary Approaches for Diagnosis and Treatment”
TRANSCAN-4, in continuity of the preceding ERA-NET TRANSCAN-3, has the goal of
coordinating national and regional funding programmes for research in the area of translational cancer research.
AIMS OF THE CALL:
- Enabling better cancer diagnostics and monitoring through metabolic biomarkers
- Intercepting metabolic vulnerabilities to improve precision medicine
By Resolution No. 57, dated August 14, 2025, the Presidium of the Slovak Academy of Sciences allocated a budget of €120,000 for the upcoming call to fund a maximum of 1 project for a period of 36 months.
TIMELINE OF THE CALL:
Call announcement: 20 May 2026
Deadline for pre-proposal submission: 21 July 2026 at 12:00 (CET)
Deadline for full-proposal submission: 13 January 2027 at 12:00 (CET)
Expected project start: October 2027
