The National Committees of the Slovak Republic (NK SR) are associations of scientists from various scientific disciplines, which externally represent the Slovak Republic in the relevant international scientific unions. SAS registers active membership in 21 National Committees of the Slovak Republic, 15 of which are covered by the ISC international organisation. The agenda related to the National Committees of the Slovak Republic is managed by the OMS in cooperation with the Vice President of the SAS for International Relations. Every year, the National Representatives of the NK SR submit to the OMS a Report on the NK´s activities and other required information on the NK. Based on the requirements of the NK, the SAS pays their membership fees to international scientific unions and also contributes to the participation of representatives of these committees in international conferences and general assemblies.
