Dávame do pozornosti nový Newsletter EASAC European Academies Science Advisory Council).
Pozdrav od prezidenta EASAC:
Dear EASAC members, friends and colleagues,
welcome to the winter issue of our newsletter. It has been an exciting year for EASAC, marking a full year since the Secretariat began operating from Vienna, hosted by the Austrian Academy of Sciences. During 2024, EASAC has focused on strengthening governance – with the establishment of an EASAC Board –, on enhancing communication and outreach efforts, and on fostering greater transparency and diversity within EASAC, especially within its Working Groups. These priorities continue to guide us as we look ahead to the coming year.
Currently, we’re advancing four projects across our three Programmes: Security of Sustainable Energy Supplies, Changing Wildfires in Europe, Meat Alternatives, and AI in Healthcare. Each of these projects’ working groups is set to launch its respective report of policy recommendations and options next year.
2025 will be a dynamic new year of engagement with the new European Commission, the newly elected Members of the European Parliament – for whom we have launched a special website highlighting EASAC’s science-for-policy initiatives and publications – and with key partners like the Joint Research Centre.
I extend my wishes for a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year. Thank you for your continued support and partnership!
Warm regards,
Wim van Saarloos
President of EASAC
