The Department of International Cooperation of the SAS Office informs about the possibility to apply for support of Seal of Excellence projects.
The aim of the programme is to support the implementation of projects that were submitted under the Horizon Europe calls in the programmes Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions: Postdoctoral Fellowship, ERC Proof of Concept, and MSCA4Ukraine, and that received the Seal of Excellence certificate in the evaluation process but could not be funded by the European Commission due to limited financial resources.
The decision on awarding the grant and the amount of support is made by the Presidency of SAS. The use of the grant is governed by the relevant financial regulations.
Projects may be supported up to a maximum of EUR 24,000 per year.
The programme is open to researchers from all disciplines. The applicant must meet the following conditions:
- The applicant must be an employee of an SAS organisation.
- The project proposal submitted to the Horizon Europe call was submitted with affiliation to an SAS organisation.
- The applicant must submit: a completed application form and a copy of the Seal of Excellence certificate.
Grant applications are submitted online via the intranet. It is necessary to log in to the SAS intranet – intranet rights – standard rights – Calls of the Department of International Cooperation, Add a New Project Proposal Form – select Seal of Excellence – year 2026, and complete the form.
Two documents must be attached to the application:
- Applicant’s form
- Confirmation – Seal of Excellence certificate or equivalent for MSCA4Ukraine
We kindly ask all those who have obtained the Seal of Excellence certificate and plan to apply for financial support to contact the Department of International Cooperation as soon as possible. This will allow them to start drawing the support already this year.
